 Great affordable leathers

By DY from Lexington, KY on 06/08/2009

Pros: Good thick leather, adequate protection, flexible design, seams are well stitched and look durable, fits well for me, loads of protection for the price, looks good.

Cons: Heavy, hot

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: I am 6'3 / 225 and the size 52 was a nice comfortable fit. It's not skin tight like some riders/racers like their leathers, but I prefer to have room for cold weather gear. The leg length is long which is what I wanted as my legs are pretty long and its usually hard to find good fitting lowers. If you're short that might be a problem but overall the fit seemed to be true to the sizing chart.

I got these as a good and less expensive way to see about getting out to a track day safely. It's my first set of full leathers, but as compared to the several jackets and other assorted armor I've had I am pleasantly surprised by the quality. The stitching is solid and looks like it will last, the zippers are reasonable quality although not quite as smooth as some. The suit comes with knee sliders included which is very nice. I haven't crashed in it yet, but just having the extra layer between me and the pavement inspires confidence and I feel safer pushing to improve my riding skills. I bought these as a way to see if I would like to get into riding at track days without dropping $1k on a fancier suit. My impression is that I will be adequately protected by these leathers while I work to improve my riding skill. If I get into track time in a major way I might eventually decide to upgrade, but my general take on stuff is to wear it out and learn what you want before dropping the big bucks. These leathers won't hold you back.

Save your pennys and get a better suit

By Eddie D. from Mobile, AL. on 05/08/2009

Pros: Cost. If you want an all leather suit and price is the main (or only) consideration, then I guess, this would be an option.

Cons: Observation: The fit was poor. I wear a 44 US and this hung on me like a cheap suit (no pun intended). While the leather was of acceptable thickness it was of poor quality and stiff. The padding/armor was insufficient for the purpose it was intended: saving your hide in a crash. Synopsis: Poor construction. Cheap leather. Poor fit.=Poor suit.

Comments: While I acknowledge that AGV does indeed make and sell quality items--this product is not one of them. Buying a "promotional" grade product whose main function is SAFETY is like buying a cheap... (Read the rest of this review)

AGV Sport Forza 2 Two-Piece Leather Suit

By Anonymous from Hawaii on 04/28/2009

Pros: Real good suit, looks WAY better in person, good leather, stitching is good, real cheap "racing suit wise".

Cons: I wish it had 2 inside pockets instead of one. I keep my wallet, cell phone and some other junk in that one left inside pocket which tends to boldge out the outside. Looks like I got one breast! The back pad in the jacket is extremely thin! I had that replaced with a thicker stiffer one. Had no problems replacing it from one of my other jackets. Other than that, great suit!

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: I got a size 42 and I'm 140lbs 5'7" and the jacket fit perfect, the pants were a little long. When I'm walking around with the pants detatched from the jacket, i find myself pullinig the pants back up to my waste from time to time. But when zipped to the jacket, no problems abviously. The pants seem to be a bit baggy until I'm on the bike, then everything is perfect, the knee slider is in perfect place and everything.

Pros: i went riding on the mountain the day i got suit and my back tire slid out and i went down. I scratcched the side of my bike, i sled across the pavement and the suit protected good, it had a little scuffs but didnt rip, i was running about 65 or 70 in the curve when i went down. this is very good suit and well worth the money.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size
