 Wow...really!

By RacerX from Austin,TX on 06/23/2008

Pros: I live in Texas, my first time out w/ these boot and it was 100+ degrees. Our ride started at 7:30am to beat the heat, had several stops for breakfast and lunch, and ended at 3:30pm. I never took these boots off one time. Pretty much MINIMAL break in time, effective from the moment I sat on the bike. Took a few minutes to adapt to the thickness of the boot with the shifter, but non-existant worry after thirty minutes of riding. These boot are great. Plenty of protection: had a toe drag two hours into the ride, on the twisties, and had no visual damage at all. Solid. TAKE the time to loosen the strings, they were NO ISSUE, when taking them off. TAKE the time to tighten them from the bottom up, again the lacing system is NO ISSUE. Great color match, very comfortable, even walking in them was no issue. For the money, great boot. Thanks.

Cons: The only negative I can come up with, one of the skid plates was a bit loose. A simple tightening w/ the phillips screw driver and BAM, perfect. When you get your boots, simply take a minute to check all the screws. NOTICE: Tighten very gently, do NOT over tighten the screws, they look as though they could strip out easily. Be patient, they're worth it!

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: I wear a size 13 in Nike cross trainer shoes, I ordered a size 13 and it seems like a perfect fit for me. MAYBE a half size too long, but not worth the risk because I have a very wide foot & these felt great after a 6 hour ride my first time out.

To put it all together, I am a very budget oriented customer. I purchased the AGV one-piece suit, and the AGV tornado gloves, as well as these boots. The color matches all the way around, so looks are great. I honestly didn't expect that for the money. As for quality & functionality, I thought I'd sacrifice a lot...this has not been an issue so far. Everything seems sturdy. Seems are solid. Zippers seam strong. The only concern would be the lacing system on the boots, however if you take the time to lace them up properly, and loosen them properly...this seems to be a no issue for me. I'm one of those people whom sweat when the moon comes out, breathability for all these items was downright INCREDIBLE! Air flows in from all the vents properly. Twice I had to look down to see if the suit had untucked from my boots, the ventalation was so good. It was 100 plus degree weather, and I felt great while the bike was moving!!! Unbelievable!

 Good boots

By Greg Gorman from Clearwater, FL on 03/12/2008

Pros: Very comfortable and not as bulky as they look. I first thought that getting under the shifter would be a problem but it wasn't. The boots offer good mobility and good protection. These boots compare very favorably to my Sidi Vetebra Race boots in terms of mobility and apparent protection. AGVSport Customer support was easy to get a hold of and very responsive.

Cons: One of the tabs for the speed lacing system broke the first time I took the boot off. You have make sure you loosen the laces up as much as possible. The screws for the ankle brace came out and the brace fell off after three days of riding. Make sure you check those when you get the boot. AGVSport Customer support was easy to get a hold of and very responsive. No questions or verification of date of purchase and they sent out new ankle braces and screws right away.

Comments: The venting works - especially on rainy days.

Pros: Good value

Cons: A bit heavey & bulky. Odd color (red) but looks more like hot pink/orange.

Comments: Sent back because to large... then opted for some Dainese boots rather than getting a smaller size.
