Akrapovic S-Bend without Cat for Slip-On - Yamaha R1
The Akrapovic SLIP-ON exhaust system is designed for riders who want to upgrade the looks and performance of their bikes at an affordable price, without making a major modification. The Street Legal version of this system officially conforms to all exhaust system noise level regulations for street use.
The Akrapovic Racing and Evolution systems are designed for racing-oriented riders. Both systems deliver significantly increased performance.
For the serious competitor on a budget, LP carries Akrapovic Racing systems. These less-expensive, stainless-steel versions of the Evolution exhaust feature precision TIG welding and hand-built stainless-steel tapered headers and crossover tubes for efficient combustion chamber scavenging.
The hydro-formed Evo headers, the systems' link pipes and crossover tubes are built from conical or cylindrical tubing in titanium or stainless steel. Most models come with a preinstalled fitting for a lambda connection. The titanium-cored oval mufflers come in your choice of carbon fiber or titanium, each with identical performance-only the look and character of the materials are different. In contrast to the majority of exhaust systems, the Evolution's in-nards are also made of titanium. The joint of the inlet cap is milled on a state-of-the-art CNC machine. In this way Akrapovic obtains an exceptionally accurate connection within tolerance levels, which yields both lower material consumption and less chance of damage to the connection due to vibration. The muffler clamp is made from carbon fiber for light weight and resistance to high temperatures.
