Not Much Protection & Runs Way Small

Pros: I generally love Alpinestars gear, and the build quality on this item was no exception. The cooling capabilities of the trou seemed like it would work well as designed.

Cons: Padding in the knees was very thin / skimpy (seemed like about a quarter inch of foam rubber), and did not seem like it would offer much protection at all. There was no protective padding whatsover in the hips / lower back area.

Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller

Additional Sizing Notes: Alpinestars sizing chart is highly innacurate -- I would say almost 3 inches smaller at the waist than the 36 I ordered.

I exchanged these for the Dainese Drake Air Tessuto pants, which are a bit more expensive, but appear to offer a good bit more protection. I'll try to write a review once I receive them and have a chance to try them out on the bike.
