 Air-Flo Works

By Timothy from Queen creek, AZ

Pros: I live in Phoenix Arizona and it gets hot here! My jeans didn't offer much air flow and perforated leathers are to hot and expensive so I chose these pants. Even with Kevlar liners & EVS Ultimate Shorts on I am able to stay cool as long as I'm riding.

Cons: Pocket for knee armor isn't large enough to put my knox armor in.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: I got a size larger so I could wear Kevlar liners (long johns) under them with EVS Ultimate Shorts & they work great

 Great Pants!

By Devin from Anytown, USA

Pros: Great pants. I got them to keep me cool in the summer and they do just that. Very breathable, great build quality, and good protection with the knee/shin protector. Also it's replaceable with they're better one if you want to go that route which I might do soon for a little extra added protection. Big pockets and another zipper right behind it to open the pants a little to get into your pants pocket if you wear them as an over pant but can be worn either way. I also love the zipper that unzips up the side of the let, across the front of the leg, and over the inner thigh to open the pant up to get into them with pants/boots on.

Cons: Not as much protection as leather, but still very good with the armor, optional slip in armor, and they feel beefy enough to take a slide and still protect your skin. Also no real butt protection.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Comments: Great pants. A must buy for summer riding and a very versatile and well built pant. Leave it to alpinestar to build the best!

Not Much Protection & Runs Way Small

By Will from Northern Virginia

Pros: I generally love Alpinestars gear, and the build quality on this item was no exception. The cooling capabilities of the trou seemed like it would work well as designed.

Cons: Padding in the knees was very thin / skimpy (seemed like about a quarter inch of foam rubber), and did not seem like it would offer much protection at all. There was no protective padding whatsover in the hips / lower back area.

Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller

Additional Sizing Notes: Alpinestars sizing chart is highly innacurate -- I would say almost 3 inches smaller at the waist than the 36 I ordered.

Comments: I exchanged these for the Dainese Drake Air Tessuto pants, which are a bit more expensive, but appear to offer a good bit more protection. I'll try to write a review once I receive them and have... (Read the rest of this review)
