Pros: The Alpinestar Bionic Knee Guards are a great design and would do an A+ job in the event of a get-off.
Cons: They are a bit large for me. I felt as if I had my hockey shin guards on that pushed the limits of my jeans.
Great product from an outstanding company, just not for me. I am 6" 2", 215 and I could hide them under a loose pair of jeans while riding. Very apparent when off the bike.

Do the job just fine
By Joaquim from La jolla, CA on 10/16/2007
Pros: Fit well and comfortably. Sturdy, good range of motion, both under or over a pair of pants.
Cons: Sides will scratch your tank if you wear them over your pants. Not comfortable enough to keep on when off the bike.

Pros: Looks cool, does not interfere with natural leg movement.
Cons: Padding much thinner than expected, looks like it sill would be painful if I land on my knee. Not exactly comfortable. Slides down somewhat after a while.

Good safety for knee
By Hayrul Erywan from Brunei on 04/17/2007
Pros: I feel comfortable using it. It is good for my safety especially on my knee.
Cons: No negative comments.
Comments: Very nice design and it is articulated to follow the movement of the knee joint. Removable knee guards. I really love it when using it.

Alpinestars Bionic Knee Guards
By Mike from Washington DC on 03/19/2007
Pros: -The build quality is outstanding. A* pays great attention to detail.
-Once you mess with the staps, these fit great and will not slide up or down your leg.
- They look cool.
- Inner padding can be removed to be washed.
- Vented (Your knees will NOT overheat)
- Small enough to wear under relaxed-fit jeans.
Cons: - If you wear these over your clothing, you WILL scratch your tank/frame (metal hinge joint scratches frame, and the plastic itself will scratch tank).
- Will not fit under tight jeans/leathers.
- Make noise when walking (obviously, not a con if it doesn't bother you).
- You'll have to learn how to fit them properly (You might find yourself messing with them once on the bike).
Comments: Overall a great product. I routinely wear them under jeans for commuting or when leathers are not appropriate. I would recommend these to others (as long as they understand that these will scratch... (Read the rest of this review)
