Pros: I purchased the Alpinestars Bionic SP Vest to meet the regulations for trackdays. The chest protector isn't required yet, but it is looking like it will be soon. I was pleasantly surprised by the weight of the vest, it is very light, and worn underneath my leathers it is hardly noticable. Doesn't constrict movement or affect riding at all. In usual Alpinestars fashion everything is very well put together. I feel like having the full vest with the additional padding on shoulders/kidneys and then the obvious back/chest protectors is a great investment if I ever go down on the track or street.
Cons: Any con's are just nitpicking... the vest is great. At the most I could possibly say that it could use a bit more coverage by the hard armor.

Pros: It is comfortable under my leathers. I used it at a few track days and forgot it was on.
Cons: You have to wear it a jacket or racesuit. I doubt the strechy mesh fabric would hold it in place or together in a crash

Pros: Level 2 back protector, I hope to never have to try it out but i'm glad to know it's there. One of the reasons I bought this item is because of the chest protector. I think they'll eventually be required like back protectors by track day organizations and it's not a bad idea to have one. Great product overall.
Cons: None so far, we'll see how the mesh holds up.

Additional Sizing Notes: I'm a big guy and ordered the 2XL in the Astars vest. It fits great, snug like I like it but not constricting. Usually Alpinestars products run small on me but the vest fits perfect.
