Perforated leather top panel and ventilated finger sidewalls keep the hands cool.
Knuckle protection system features air intakes and exhaust ports.
Pros: Solid feel,l and I love the bridge between the ring and little fingers. Ventilation added on the top of the hand, and good padding on the bottom. Seams in the fingers are negligible. Protection feels really solid. Haven't dropped in these ones, but my old GP Plus gloves help up great in a high-side.
Cons: They dumped the vents between the fingers, which is a bummer.
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller
Additional Sizing Notes: Haven't worn them in that much yet, but they're smaller than the same model from 2 years ago. Should break in a bit though.

Perfect Gloves
By Koby from Dayton, OH
Pros: Absolutely the most comfortable glove my hands have ever worn. Great adjustability, and fit. Very substantial armor in the fingers, palms, etc... no worries if you go down. I can't state enough just how light and comfortable these glove are.
Cons: Not much to speak of for airflow/venting.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: I'm 6' 175lbs... worn XL in previous gloves (icon/astars) purchased XL in these and to no surprise they fit perfect.

Pros: Sizing problems aside, these glove appear to be just as bomb-proof, if not moreso, as the previous versions. Very nice leather and excellent workmanship.
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller
Additional Sizing Notes: Actually about 1.5 sizes smaller. I expect them to stretch with use. I've had Alpinestars GP Plus Racing Gloves in their various iterations for over 6 years now and I have to say that these are by far the smallest they've ever been. I usually wear a medium in other gloves and have always worn a large in the Alpinestars gloves. I needed an extra large in these, however. Also the gauntlet portion is much shorter and tighter than previous versions.

2008 Model - Tons of protection, great style
By Charles from CT
Pros: The glove offers a large amount of protection over my other pair of short style gloves. Extra protection is apparent in some of the areas of the hand which would take the hardest hit it a get off (outside edge of hand/pninky and palm) with heavy leather and kevlar cloth as well as plastic sliders on the fingers. They look great.
Cons: Tight fit at first, but that can be expected. They will stretch out and fit much better over time. While I understand the benefit of the ringer finger pinky bridge piece it can take some getting used to as your grip might be effected by it.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: Fits true to other Alpinestar glove sizes. Will take a little bit to break in before they fit as comfortably as possible
Comments: I am reviewing the 2008 model. I'm sure there where a few changes but over all the glove looks to be almost identical to the 2009 version currently available.
