Pros: Great protection, Alpinestar's gear is always top quality in my mind. Good armor locations, flex areas allow the rider to move comfrotable.
Cons: Waist adjustment for the love of God! That simple peice of technology could make all the difference in the world!
Also, the weight is fatiging. I weight in 22 lbs heaver with all my gear on (mx-1 jacket), leather track paints, shoei RF1000 helm) SMX plus boots, GP gloves - it adds up!
I know I'm fat, I got married and stopped going to the gym but to up 3 inches and it zips up but to the point where i think the zippers will fail, good lord.
If you're think, which most sportbike riders are, you wont have a problem. If you're over 240lbs there will be bood.
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller
Additional Sizing Notes: I wear a size 40 jeans and theyre rather lose - I'd probably sqeeze into a 39 without much problem. Being aware that Alpinestars gear is tight I picked a size 58 euro, 42 US tall version (I'm 6'2" and weight around 265lbs currently.
The pants fit fine in the thighs and cafe and are realtively comfortable to move around in all though this will certainly come with age (My iron motorhead leather jacket felt super fight at first, now its lose and comfy)
The tight sizing leaves me with a few options.
1) Return for the next size up, a 60
2) I'm currently losing weight, these probably would be that bad after 15 pounds
3) Wear them any hope they break in.
Comments: The pants in conjuction to the MX-1 jacket look very nice - they eveb skim me down and gave me back some of my sex appeal :) I just wish there ws a waist adjustment and means of removing the liner... (Read the rest of this review)
