 Nice protection but small size

By Clovis from Colorado Springs, CO on 04/22/2008

Pros: Lots of protection and ventalation. The leather is thick but manageable to move around. Pucks are replaceable and in a good location. The tall version is nice as I'm 6'2" - the tall goes to my foot where as the normal goes above the ankle - either is fine since they tuck into the boots.

Cons: Sizing is way off! Unless you're a jockie go up 1-2 sizes!

Sizing Info: Fits 2 sizes smaller

Additional Sizing Notes: If you're a fatty, go up 2 sizes =) If you're under 180lbs these will probably fit true to size, if you're 200-230 then go up 1 size; if you're 250 or more go up 2 sizes. I wear a size 40 jeans and ordered a size 42 alpinestars (58 euro) and they were tight as hell! The pants should come with a knife so you can gut yourself to fit into them! I started to lose the weight though just before they came and have dropped about 8lbs since they arrived and they're fitting better. If you wear a size 38 jean you should fit into the 42/58 pretty comfortably.

 Tight as hell!

By Clovis from Colorado Springs, CO on 04/19/2008

Pros: Great protection, Alpinestar's gear is always top quality in my mind. Good armor locations, flex areas allow the rider to move comfrotable.

Cons: Waist adjustment for the love of God! That simple peice of technology could make all the difference in the world! Also, the weight is fatiging. I weight in 22 lbs heaver with all my gear on (mx-1 jacket), leather track paints, shoei RF1000 helm) SMX plus boots, GP gloves - it adds up! I know I'm fat, I got married and stopped going to the gym but to up 3 inches and it zips up but to the point where i think the zippers will fail, good lord. If you're think, which most sportbike riders are, you wont have a problem. If you're over 240lbs there will be bood.

Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller

Additional Sizing Notes: I wear a size 40 jeans and theyre rather lose - I'd probably sqeeze into a 39 without much problem. Being aware that Alpinestars gear is tight I picked a size 58 euro, 42 US tall version (I'm 6'2" and weight around 265lbs currently. The pants fit fine in the thighs and cafe and are realtively comfortable to move around in all though this will certainly come with age (My iron motorhead leather jacket felt super fight at first, now its lose and comfy) The tight sizing leaves me with a few options. 1) Return for the next size up, a 60 2) I'm currently losing weight, these probably would be that bad after 15 pounds 3) Wear them any hope they break in.

Comments: The pants in conjuction to the MX-1 jacket look very nice - they eveb skim me down and gave me back some of my sex appeal :) I just wish there ws a waist adjustment and means of removing the liner... (Read the rest of this review)

Pros: If you already have an A* Leather Jacket all you need is this for a full suit! Works great when I zip it up to my MX-1 Jacket.

Cons: None.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Pros: good quality... gotta have leather all the way around!!

Cons: If you have big legs go up 2 sizes trust me....I had to and their a little snug in the quads but I think they stretch a little.

 Great pants!

By Matt from Australia on 01/04/2007

Pros: I had previously tried the leather pants on to find the right size here in Australia. Hoping sizes where not going to be different over there I ordered the pants along with a pair of sidi boots. When they arrived they were a perfect fit and there wasn't a single flaw in the leather.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Comments: kneedraggers.com where extremely helpful being an international order, and with the tracking system you have I was able to know where my gear was at all times. A very happy customer. Regards ... (Read the rest of this review)
