Pros: Very comfortable, well cut, full coverage and pads positioned perfect in riding position. Good, quality denim and removable pads are a nice bonus.

Cons: These are basically a pair of designer jeans with pads- I would expect to pay $80 for denim like this anyway-is very good quality but its still just denim. no hip or other padding- no zippered pockets, need to keep the cell/wallet in the tank bag.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

wouldn't mind an option to add some hip/tail bone padding for more aggressive rides with out sacrificing the style. great for my short commute to work but some 'add ons' would be a huge plus.

 Perhaps not the safest item

By Anonymous from Anytown, USA

Pros: The jean material is actually lighter than I expected. Hopefully this does not mean they won't hold up in a fall.

Cons: The armour in these jeans are flimsy. Armour will not stay in place in a crash

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: Loose fitting Jean but accurate in the waist and plenty of length for riding an R bike

Comments: I am a big fan of A* but I find that alot of their standard armour is flimsy. I have an SMX- Air Jacket and for one of the most expensive jackets around the back protection in the jacket is a joke!... (Read the rest of this review)

Every street rider should have a pair of these!!!

By Ben from Pensacola, FL

Pros: Excellent protection for the street without going full kit leathers. The armor is the biggest selling point. These are the only jeans I could find that were a combination of reinforced jeans as well as armor. They look very good as well. No one ever knows that I am wearing "riding jeans" with built in armor. You could wear these jeans out to dinner and still get to ride.

Cons: They don't breathe quite like regular jeans, but once moving, they let enough airflow through to keep you from sweating too bad.

Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller

Additional Sizing Notes: I normally wear 34 jeans with a belt. The Maxx jeans are definately a little tighter around he waist. Not to bad, but if they had a 35, I would have exhanged them. I kept them, and wear them often, but think they fit like a 33.

 good for commuting

By Jared from Boston

Pros: Much more comfortable on the bike than regular jeans; don't need to keep readjusting the leg after picking my left foot up from a stop. Gusseting on the crotch and inner thigh makes it much easier to get on and off the bike comfortably, and doesn't grab the eye just walking around. Knee and shin armor is better than nothing, and the look says "motorcycle" without saying "power ranger." Affordable.

Cons: Still not a heck of a lot of protection vs. a pair of Vanson leather pants. Only one smallish zippered pocket (right-rear quadricep or so) would hold a wallet or a BlackBerry, but probably not both. Knee and shin armor is stiff enough to be obvious walking around off the bike, but it might break in over time.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: 5'9", wear a 31 in low-rise jeans. Size 30 fits actual waist, hits the floor barefoot but perfect in boots.

Comments: I got these because the Drake pants (Dianese) were on back order. This morning's commute was 50 degrees or so, and the Maxx pants felt great.
