    Alpinestars Octane Riding shoes |
By david from Suffern, NY
Pros: good toe design, allows excellent manipulation of pedals, particularly shifting. Good tight fit, does not allow slippage
Cons: Entry and exit are a nuisance. One side requires manipulating a zipper, both sides velcro. A two handed operation.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: Length is true to size, width likely as well, though with a wider than average foot, toe box a bit cramped
I purchased these and the Icon Field Armor Chukkas. I intended these to be used for more serious riding, the others more casual and both have held up to expectations. Though a bit narrow in the toe box, this does provide excellent pedal/lever feel. My complaint though is in putting them on and off. A two handed operation. Excessive for a short boot.

    Great All Around |
By Anonymous from Midland, MI
Pros: Nice, regular look. Not too flashy. They feel very protective, yet light and comfortable enough to wear around casually, once off the bike.
Cons: I wish there was a quicker way to remove and fasten them than redoing all of the velcros, but its very minor compared to all of the pros.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: I wear a 12 in all of my shoes, I ordered a 12, and fits great.
Comments: These shoes are great the are comfortable right out of the box, and do not feel like big heavy boots, when riding, which makes shifting easy. Great shoe, for the price!
