Best suit in this price range. |

Pros: The first thing that I noticed when I took this suit out of the box was that is gorgeous. The pictures on the website do not even come close to doing it justice. One of the reasons I like this suit is that it is one of the few in this price range that comes with a zip in mesh liner with extra padding in the butt, hip, and thigh areas. Another Pro. of this suit is that when riding in the dark the light silver stripes, and the Alpinestars logo on the chest reflect light for added visibility. The perforations on the chest also extend onto the inner thigh, and seem to move a fair amount of air. However, I have yet to wear it on a 90+ degree day. The zippers seem strong, and the quality of this suit is exactly what you would expect from Alpinestars. Comes with knee pucks that that are secured with very strong Velcro.
Cons: Before being broken-in the suit is a little uncomfortable in the under arms, elbows, and the back of the knees. I would expect this is the case with most suits, and it goes away with a little time.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: My measurements (W/O Back Protector): 42" Chest, 35" Waist, 43" Hip, 32" Inseam, 5'9" Tall, and 170 Lbs. I ordered a Euro. Size #52 and it fits really well. Without a back protector the torso has plenty of room, and is quite comfortable. With an Alpinestars Tech Series back protector the suit fits snug, but not to an uncomfortable degree. I have not worn the suit very long, but I have already noticed that it has some stretch. I would suggest that if you are any taller, or if your chest or waist is any larger than I am that you order a Euro. Size #54. The inseam, and crotch to shoulder size of this suit fit my body type perfectly.
Don't be a "squid" buy some good gear, and wear it!
