Supertech R Boots fail in 2 days |
By Alex Littlewood from San Jose CA on 04/07/2008
Pros: Extremely comfortable, Very light, look great.
Cons: VERY expensive. Especially considering that they FAILED in TWO days. I run Vortex Rearsets on my '05 GSXR600, and the soft suede patch on the inside ankle of the boot wore completely through after just two days of track riding. There is a hole in my boot, and it only took two days to put it there!! I'm really dissappointed!
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller
Additional Sizing Notes: I normally wear an 11.5 shoe. I wear a size 45 A* boot, which A* says is 10.5.
[KneeDraggers' Comments: I was not able to find any order history for you, with our company. You should contact the place you purchased the boots from -- they do carry a warranty, and Alpinestars is excellent about warranty service. Good luck!]

Top of the line boot |
By gibsonhtp from Las Vegas, NV on 03/21/2008
Pros: These have to be the best boots I have put on. They are very comfortable all around, the laces on the inner boot don't dig into your foot while you're riding and the new hinge system works great. The stretch bellows on the zipper were a definite plus for this year, they work great and allow easier zipping over your leathers. The new style buckle system seems like it would take a beating and still hold up.
The shifter plate is softer and more pliable, giving you more feel. Ankle protection feels very strong both on the inner and outer boot. Also the inner suede portion on the outer boot does not make you worry about catching your boot on something when you're putting your foot down at a stop.
Cons: None so far.
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller
Additional Sizing Notes: I'm usually a size 44 in the supertechs, though with this years supertech r's I had to go with the 43 and they fit perfect.
Comments: I got the vented boots, and the airflow is great through the boot. Also got the magnesium toe sliders for better wear and tear.
I noted that it is not necessary to remove the inner boot from... (Read the rest of this review)

Pros: Fore and aft is effortless, yet has great side to side support. They feel like they have been worn in for a year, yet they are new. Very comfortable, and confidence inspiring.
Cons: None yet!
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: Excellent for wide feet! I normally wear 8-1/2 EEE shoes, I got these in a size 9 and the fit great!
Comments: After a lot of researching the most protective boots, I decided to go with these because, A*, tend to cater to wider feet and excellent protection at a reasonable cost. I am more than happy with... (Read the rest of this review)
