I purchased the boots to replace riding in tennis shoes. I gave them a low rating for street riding as the main issue is not able to easily get the toe under the shifter!
I adjusted my shifter but you have to brace the outside of the lever to up shift. You have to consciously think about it. I found it difficult to shift smoothly. I would not recommend these for sport bikes! I will try the One On One Octane boots and hope these will work better.

Bulky but affective
By Anonymous from Anytown, USA
Pros: I had the dis-pleasure of crash testing the boots. I although they were scratched up after a 45 mph road accident and the bike was totaled I was able to WALK away with no ankle or foot damage. They might be bulky but the saved my ankles and foot. That is all I will ride in
Cons: Bulky

Alpinestars Tech 2 Boots
By Anonymous from Anytown, USA
Pros: Alpinestars makes a quality boot hands down, these are no exception. These boots will not be falling apart anytime soon.
Cons: A little bulky for a road boot, feels like a motocross boot...also uncomfortable to walk in.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Not a Very good Boot for Street Use
By Tony from Anytown, USA
Pros: A great looking boot that has the ankle support of the tall racing boots but is short enough to get you pants over. Well made.
Cons: I bought this boot because I wanted more support that the hiking-style boot. I did some research and found that it is intended for off-road use but several sites had it listed as a street boot so I took the chance. This boot does not work well for sport bikes. The toe box is just too big and clunky the manipulate the shifter. In fact I couldn't get it under the shifter. It's also not the kind of boot you're going to walk around in once you park the bike.
