• A priority was ensuring that the OEM shift rod could be linked to the foot control so that the unique "through-the-frame" feature would be retained, and that switching from standard pattern to GP-reverse pattern shifting would be a simple affair, requiring no additional hardware.

• Looking at the left side foot control from the frame side, standard shift pattern set-up is revealed - the female/male Heim joint is connected to the lower position.
• As you can see, switching from standard to reverse pattern shifting is easy, and requires no extra hardware.
• Mounted up, the OEM shift shaft goes through the R1-s frame - the way it ought to.
