Armored Pants Bohn Pants though are a revelation! How many of us just like to ride in Blue Jeans? It's like they were invented for motorcycling! But somehow our knees feel rather exposed, to say nothing of hips. We fit comfortable hip pads with slim articulated knee and shin armor - all designed to fit under your jeans. Your friends will never know

Features

  • We now offer Pants in 2 specs: Armored Pants—with Bohn Zorb Armor in knee/shin and Bohn Komfort in hips—and Adventure Pants—with Bohn Zorb Armor in knee/shin and Bohn Komfort in hips plus Bohn Komfort thigh protection and our exclusive multi-layered flexible tailbone section
  • About one quarter of our shirts and pants are bought by women who find the unisex styling practical and comfortable. Unlike jackets - where you often choose a larger size for comfort when you wear other garments underneath - Bohn Bodyguard should be selected closest to your 'real' size; this way it will fit snug and firm holding the armor in the correct position. Most people simply wear a T-shirt underneath their armor then add a sweater if needed under their leather or other jacket
  • CARE AND LONGEVITY: The armor easily removes for washing in a regular washing machine. There is no shrinking. When touring many people wash their suits overnight in their motel room. The big advantage with this system is that you have a versatile armor system which you can wear under your other jackets or suits and will last you many years

Pros: Fits very well, and appears to offer good protection. Its quick to put on and take off. It is thin enough to wear under most pairs of jeans. It is a little more comfy under a large pair of jeans but as long as you don't only own really tight pants, you'll be fine wearing these.

Cons: The pads are not the kind of pads you would expect to find in a nice riding jacket. They are mostly foamy (the knee pads are quite a bit tougher) and probably don't offer anything more that impact protection. I would imagine if you start sliding, the pants would tear appart and the pads wouldn't help much even if they stayed in place. I think this product would be the most benificial if used under riding pants with some kind of abrasion protection.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: Don't try to get a size bigger, you want them to fit snuggly. They look WAY too small when you get them but it stretches nicely. Just follow the sizing guide on their site. It fits snuggly but is not uncomfortable. You don't want the pads moving away from your knees, ect. so the tight fit isn't bad.

These pants/pads offer good protection, just not much if you start sliding. I would wear something better on a long trip, but these are good for just riding around if you still want some protection. Get a pair of draggin jeans (kevlar reinforced jeans made for motorcycle riding) or other similar product and you can mix and match to get the protection you need for whatever type of ride.

 Good enough

By Alejandro Ortega from Mexico City

Pros: I used the armor for a 6 hours tour ..... The armor is comfortable and the price is good.

Cons: The armor is not exactly an armor ..... is more kind of a cushion pans. But if you used it with leather pans, race suit or any riding pans , you will definitely fill protected... I wouldn't used it with just a pair of jeans. Of course you will feel more protected but it`s not the state of the art armor.

Sizing Info: Fits 1 size larger

Comments: Notice that the armor is made of "spandex" or "Lycra" . If you are a skinny man like me.... try a smaller size, if not, you will remember when your big brother let you used his fancy clothes to... (Read the rest of this review)
