Great Tire! Best in Warm and Dry. |
By JMLUSA1 from Kileen TX on 09/11/2008
Pros: As with the rear tire, great wear and durability, Decent traction all the way to the edge. I like these tires. Short distance touring and comuting are what they do best, and they are definately worth the money. However...
Cons: I wore the front tire out before the rear on this set of BT021s. Deep cornering and hard deep braking took a heavy toll on these babies. Untill it really warms up, the front tire looses a little feel (and I loose confidence in it's ablity) at deepest lean angles, near or at the edge, . This is to be expected for this tire's pourpose though, so I'm not really complaining. :) When it does warm up it sticks pretty good but by that time, I'm half way through the ride session. Tire warmers are advised for track days! If not, Be Careful until you rewarm them next time out! Wet weather comuting this set feels steady and sure, disapating water effectivly. As you step up the performance and lean angle in the wet and be prepaired to slip and push a little. Very unnerving. Be Very wary of wet painted road markings, especially while cornering. Again in the wet it's much better when warm. Best to just take it easy in the wet on these tires. Again NOT Complaining. I Highly Recommend these as high mileage tires. They do what they are built to do Well.
