Chatterbox introduces our most technologically advanced unit ever. We took our most powerful communicator and combined it with our most sophisticated features to create the most powerful (up to 5 miles) unit on the market. The GMRS X1 has a large illuminated display and is VOX (voice activated) or PTT (push to talk) with a built in intercom for talking to a passenger. Other features include cellular phone input, audio input with full stereo sound, radar detector, and voice prompted GPS input. All of these features packed into a tough water resistant casing.
Cons: Had lots of wind noise at 65 mph until a larger windmuff was added to the mike. Now it's clear at interstate speeds

Pros: Range is fantastic, easy to operate. Many good mounting options
Cons: I had alot of wind noise with the full faced helmet. My solution was to add an open face windscreen to the full face helmet. Made all the difference in the world. Now, comunnicating at 65 mph is as easy as 25.
Comments: After running out of battery during the first two rides, (not a Chatterbox issue, but the guy on the bike) we added the cord from the Chatterbox to the bike.
