Eliminates the rear fender to give your bike a cleaner race-style look.
Quality, all stainless steel kits move the turn signals up and in and relocate the license plate light on most models.
Aftermarket signals and license plate lights supplied when needed.
Storage area is kept as stock as possible.
Hardware and instructions for easy installation.
Some cutting and drilling may be necessary on some models, but only to the black plastic fender, never the frame or bodywork (except on Ducati Monster).
Pros: Written instructions were easy to follow. Fit is good if you take the extra few minutes filing the plastic to ensure a flush fit. Also, you can drill 3/8" holes for the turn signal lights rather than the recommended 5/8" and easliy fit the connectors into the tail section for final assembly. I sanded the polished finish using 400 grit sandpaper and layered 4 coats of matte-black on the mounting pieces. The finish is much more appealing.
Cons: Inside braket upper mounting 1/2" bolt should instead be 5/8" length to ease assembly and allow room for lock washer on mounting bolt. Based on the included components and the average retail cost of the kit, ComWerkes should include 1/4" weatherstripping to better seal the undertail braket against the tail section. Replacing the "before assembly" picture with a more detailed undertail picture "during assembly" would be prudent.
To fear this simple change. Take your time when cutting and drilling. (Measure twice; cut once). The kit is pPricy for what you get, but looks sharp.
