Great tires for the sport/touring rider!

By Alex

I have a 2004 Yamaha FZ1 with an aftermarket exhaust pipe and an Ivan jet kit. I ride at a brisk pace, mostly on back roads. The orginal BT-020s, that came with bike, were not very smooth when they rolled down any road and made much noise as the speed increased. I also noticed a slight "wiggle" in the handle bar at low speeds towards the 5,000 mile mark. I am quite pleased with the Conti Force tires thus far. Through my favorite cornes, I don't seem to have to lean the bike over as far as I did with the Bridgestones. I also like how quiet and smooth the tires are. I have found that the tire pressure has not stablized though. I lost about 3 lbs per tire each week during the first couple of weeks. The tires have not been on long enoguh to tell if this is part of the install or a characteristic of the tire. Of course, it is not unusal for tire to experience this type of air loss early in their life. So far, I'm happy with the purchase. I would recommend the tires to anyone looking for the same type of performance. Alex
