Pros: Can wear in the office without attracting too much attention. Have literally walked in the door with the pants on and my boots, walked straight to "the director's office" and started work there without him even asking. The protection is also great. Having cowhide on the inside as well as textile, as well as the CE stuff, I feel pretty safe, even up at 70-80+.
Cons: Well, like the previous reviewer said, they look like they've been stored in an oil can. I don't mind the armor, even after long periods. Hint: just move the armor up if you're sitting, and if you're walking, since they hang loose, you won't notice the armor anyways. The sizing is tricky. Get a better belt. Also, while I feel safe in them, they do not have hip padding, really. I wish they had removable hip padding. The rear pockets in particular ride REALLY low, and it's hard to e.g., get your wallet out for toll booths or "swipes" to get into garages. The front pockets are so tight it's impossible (both of these complaints apply to gloved hands).
Since they have that "ugly" (some people think they're kinda badass looking; I like that) look to them, I keep a spare pair of jeans and/or slacks at the office. But I have an office, cube dwellers may have trouble.
NOT MACHINE WASHABLE. IT'S A GIANT PAIN TO CLEAN THESE PANTS.
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size larger
Additional Sizing Notes: I normally wear a 42/34. These ride a little high, as others have said, so you may want to get a rugged (like 5.11 tactical or Galco) 2" belt to hold them in place. Your "normal" belt won't hold them up because they're pretty heavy.
Buy four pairs. They're cheap enough. Wash two and ride two. You can ride, provided you're not putting more than 150 miles or so a day on them, a pair for two days or more, depending on whether your spouse thinks you smell bad. Then, wash those, switch to the other two, and LET THEM AIR DRY. That's the worst part. But they offer a lot more protection than the textile pants out there, and look more natural, so they're a great deal. And Cortech makes good products. I have a friend who came off his bike on a 40mph lowside and didn't even break through the material. Tiny little tear, but it was nothing that affected the integrity of the garment. Great buy, especially for the price.

Pros: They also work well with my strap on knee armor
Cons: The only down side was my own fault, I should have ordered a shorter leg and the armor would have ridden better on my knee.
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller
Additional Sizing Notes: I normally wear a 34 leg but I think if I would have went with a little shorter leg the knee armor would have been in a better location.
Comments: I have no regets with buying these pants the it well, especially when on the bike.

Better than your levis, and you don't look like a MotoGP rider wannabe |
By Kyle from Anytown, USA
Pros: These look like regular darkwash jeans. Very descrete leather placement and if you don't put the CE approved armor in the knee panels underneath you cant tell the difference. A plus because they offer more protection. These aren't low rise jeans and they do sit above the hip a good inch or two.
Cons: You look like you're slightly bending your legs if you put the knee armor in because they stick out a little bit. What other people said is also right...the knee armor is weird feeling when not on the bike. No one is going to notice it or care about it unless you're paranoid and think the world is out to get you.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: Loose fit
Comments: I'm levi's size 30x32 and I bought size 30x32. I don't wear loose fit levis but these pants fit just fine. You need to really align the velcro under neath so a rough side doesn't stick out and... (Read the rest of this review)
