Great bag with a couple drawbacks.

By Anonymous

Pros: Well built bag and I love the backpack straps. The neoprene bottom seems to protect the bike's paint well.

Cons: The map pocket on top is small, and the bag is tall and stiff, so that when I am making tight left U-turns, and my bars are turned in all the way to the left, the bag will hit the horn button and set it off, which is annoying. I've solved the problem by having the bag really far back on the tank, close to the rider, which works, but then it is hard to read the map while riding.

 Cortech 14 Liter Tank Bag

By Anonymous from Anytown, USA

Pros: Access is great and nicely sized for and aft pockets keep small items isolated from large items. The clingy external base fabric and magnets hold onto the tank well and doesn't get in the way of my legs, etc. Inside cover holds pen, knife, tire gauge, insurance and registration - right on. Should also hold a day's worth of personal items and offers quick removal during stops.

Cons: Twice the price of a very nice but unsuitably designed Marsee tank bag I looked at, the Cortech 14 liter model is as big as I can fit on my '07 V-Strom DL650A. The 10 liter model was just ten bucks cheaper, so it was a no brainer. The map pocket panel snaps onto the sunglasses case portion and covers its zipper - why? It's an annoyance to get that pocket opened.... there's always something, huh?

Comments: Like my standard and mesh Cortech Air jackets, this product features excellent construction. I seems to gravitate toward this brand a lot - no disappointments yet!

Pros: Nice construction, seems like it will last a while. strap mount system works well even at high speeds.

Cons: If you realy strap it down tight, it seems that the loop in which the rear strap goes though is starting to fray. This does not affect the bag or how it straps down, but it just looks bad

Comments: I would have rather used the magnetic mount but i cannot with a plastic tank cover. The strap mounts work well, im quite happy with it.

 No more back pack

By Anonymous from Anytown, USA

Comments: It is great to no longer need a back pack driving to work. The straps were easy to install. Bag clips right in. Takes a little longer to fuel but well worth it.

 Big, sturdy Cortech, good stuff

By Anonymous from Anytown, USA

Pros: I sized a 10L and a 14L on my bike (Ducati Monster). The 14L is about as big as I could fit on here, just the way I wanted it. The contour of the handle end holds a spare helmet visor. That end is also sturdy enough for me to lay my chest on it if I ride close to the tank and sitting upright. Takes a portion of the wind off my chest, too. Good volume, good shape. Nice reflective piping and logos. I regularly fit a helmet visor, a bag lunch, a bottle of water, PDA, iPod, and hand towel in the main cavity with room to spare. Has a firm sunglasses case on the outside that's not hard to get into. The inside fittings actually hold a small notebook, pencils, and kickstand plate for me. 14L is a big bag for my type of bike, but this does the job.

Comments: Backpack straps are a little tricky to work with. I use them a lot, but tucking them under the bag when mounting it is a tad bulky and clumsy. This is not a backpack like my real backpack; it's a... (Read the rest of this review)
