Pros: There is a velcrow stap on the top of the boot that interweaveswith the side panel. Nice touch giving the user an opportunity of tightening the top of the boot. I haven't worn them long distance yet but feel very comfortable about them.
Cons: I waited for what seemed like forever for them to come from Italy, worth the wait though.

Additional Sizing Notes: I normally wear a 10.5-11 in a shoe or boot, I ordered size 46 (11) and apart from a little tightness acroos the top of the foot that will obviously loosen as they break in, they fit perfectly. I have rather large calfs and there is plenty of room for jeans tucked inside with out being restrictive.
Great looking boots, offering great ankle and upper calf protection.
