I purchased this product to replace the use of the padding and armor in my riding jackets. I wanted total back/spine protection and this product was the best I could find for the money. The fit and quality are great and I am hopeful that it will reduce spine injury in case of a fall. I can easily fit it under my jackets as I intentionally bought my jackets one size bigger for this reason. One added benefit is that it provides support, like a back brace, for those long rides.

Pros: So far this product has met all my expectations. It fits well and covers all the areas of my back that I would want protected in a crash. Also, the bottom portion of the protector has a pivot in it to allow for maximum flexibility when hanging off the bike. I bought this protector as I felt it provided the best racing protection I could find, and although it hasnt been crash tested yet im confident that it will do its job. Whenever I buy racing protection I always buy the best quality of everything no matter what the price, because having an injury is bad enough let alone being injured and wondering if an extra 50-100 dollars could have made the difference.
Cons: so far I have found nothing negative about this product.
