Dainese Drake Air Textile Pants
Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 6 ratings)
Drake pants will surely interest anyone who loves to ride his or her bike especially in the warmer months without wearing a suit or leather pants in order to obtain the protection required. These previously contrasting needs have now been perfectly reconciled by Drake fabric pants. Ample air vents in fretted fabric with closing on the thighs permit fresh air to enter during riding for cooling relief on even the hottest days. When temperatures begin to drop, the air vents can be closed. Safety is guaranteed by removable composite protections in the knee and shins, while extra-strength Cordura 750 fabric offers protection in case of fall. The elastic inserts in the knee optimise the wearability of the article, which is equally suited to metropolitan motorcycle use.

    Cool Indeed! part 2 |
By Duck Rider from western MA on 08/06/2008
Pros: Very good finish and over-all fit. Love the unique, front snap closure that doesn't "pop" open. Terrific flow-through ventilation with the knee/thigh panels open. These pants are stylish without being too over the top as I wear them like I would a good pair of jeans--on or off a bike, they look great. They attach well to my other Dainese jackets [Fogarty leather and Zentex Tessuto] so no problems there. Great choice for hot, humid days, like the ones we have here in New England in July/August...
Cons: So far, none in the past five months I've been riding with them....
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size larger
Additional Sizing Notes: For my 35" waist, it could have been maybe an inch or so smaller/tighter based on a size 54, but then you can cinch the waist tighter via the two side straps.

    Outstanding pants |
By Ron from Honolulu on 05/29/2008
Pros: Stylish, great fit, keeps me cool & Kneedraggers service was first rate.
Cons: None.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: Excellent fit but even if it wasn't, plenty of adjustment in the waist band. I ordered a 52 and I'm a 32 going on 33.
Comments: It's warm here year round - 70's and 80's and the sun's pretty strong. I've been wearing protected jeans but these pants are so much more comfortable and look great. Ventilation works as... (Read the rest of this review)

Excellent Riding Pants for All Weather Conditions |
By Andy from NJ, USA on 02/21/2007
Pros: These pants are extremely comfortable. The armor hangs a little low when standing, but in the riding position it fits perfectly. The pants are on the heavier side but it has vents for riding in warmer weather. They're well constructed and worth the money. There is a zipper that allows you to attach the pants to a jacket, and these zipped up perfectly to my Ducati/Dainese leather jacket. I have yet to try them out in the summer time, but at 40+ degrees it keeps you warm. The knee armor and connected to the shin armor as one piece, so if you remove the knee armor, you lose the shin armor as well.
Over all a great pair of riding pants, and i would recommend them to anyone.
Cons: None at this time.
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller
Additional Sizing Notes: Use the sizing chart provided by Kneedraggers.com when choosing the size. I used the sizing chart when i placed my order and the pants fit perfectly. Kneedraggers already accounts for the smaller Dainese sizing. Although the waist has adjustable straps, it really only works if the pants are slightly loose, not the other way around. So when i doubt, go 1 size up.
Comments: I originally ordered the regular Dainese Drake Textile pants. However i received a call from Kneedraggers saying that they were on backorder for a couple of months, but they had the Drake Air's... (Read the rest of this review)
