Dainese Hooper D-Dry Pants
Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (based on 1 rating)
One of the most important features of this D-Dry article is its amazing versatility. Hooper D-Dry pants are the perfect choice for riders who want breathable thermal protection in every season. The use of two different Cordura fabrics and D-Dry material for the liner permits all weather conditions to be faced with the most complete assurance: the removable liner (present in the winter version) makes it easy to adapt the garment to the different climates encountered along the way. The liner can be inserted whenever temperatures fall as higher altitudes are reached and then removed when returning to the warmer plains. Hooper D-dry pants are available in black for both men and ladies with custom alterations for both tall and short height.

Be sure you want these pants |

Pros: I really like these pants. I think that they look good b/c they aren't as bulky as a typical overpant. However, I do wear these pants over shorts all the time, and it isn't a problem at all. They also provide lots of protection without being uncomfortable at all. The pants have hip pads, which I don't imagine will do anything but prevent a bruise if you happen to drop the bike while at a near stop. If you go down with these on at any speed, you'll probably wear through the padding. That said, I like the compromise that Dainese made, the last thing I want is a bulky hip pad that is uncomfortable while on the bike. The knee pads are great, they have a hard plastic piece plus the CE stuff, which I think would provide lots of protection during a medium speed spill. Other pros: easy to put on, keeps you warm on cold days, armor is removable, and you can probably use them as ski pants if you so choose.
Cons: First and foremost these are expensive pants. I would not have spent the money unless I felt that they looked very good (not like bulky overpants) and provided a good amount of protection for the type of riding that I do (street riding). Second, the pants are "warmish." If you are traveling at any speed, you won't be hot in these pants, but if you are off the bike and sitting at the bar / coffee joint, then yes you will be warm assuming it is also warm outside.
