The Steel racing suit is a new entry in the Dainese 2008 Motorcycle Collection, an item with simple, clear-cut lines at no expense to technical content and comfort. The new Steel’s distinguishing feature is its back made from just one single piece of leather without stitching like "fine bodywork". This reduction of stitching gives the suit an elegant look while providing greater protection in case of fall at the same time. The suit features the use of the new D-Skin cowhide leather patented by Dainese provided with a special wax and silicone treatment for extraordinary softness. Elasticized fabric has been inserted in the chest to give the rider greater arm opening movement. The Steel racing suit is also available in a two-piece version.
Pros: Top quality suit regarding material and craftsmanship. Great safety features and padding in the right places. Best thing though is the leather itself. It is super soft and the suit fits and feels perfect right out of the box. There's no need for break-in like with my other (older) suits. I believe that this suit can really make someone a better rider, simply because it feels so great. There's just nothing, that's distracting from riding the bike or limiting any movements on the bike.
Would I buy this same suit again? Absolutely YES
Cons: Relative high price tag, but once you touch and wear the suit, you'll know why it is expensive.
