Pros: Brake quality on the Busa has always been blasted... personally? I think it was done on purpose to protect the guy with little or no real "hyperbike" experience..
Tucking front tires always looks bad on bike reviews and around the campfire..
Brake upgrades on the Busa are suggested for spirited riding (track day guys) and the experiences I have with stock, EBC HH and EBC HH Extreme pads are FROM the track..
Stock pads are a big soggy and heat up.. stopping power is marginal but safe
EBC HH pads are certainly a step up.. more fade resistance and when properly "bedded" will give IMHO about 20% better braking power and feel.. most suited for the street
EBC HH Extreme-- These should be required on track day bikes.. pretty close to "power brakes" on the Busa.. 2 finger stoppies or highly aggressive stops (on GOOD TIRES) at the track result in a highly linear/progressive feel.. I would suggest you have stainless lines PRIOR to installing this pad
Cons: Contrary to what I have been told, mileage on this pad compound is not very good. I burned through a set after 1 week on Deals Gap and 5 track days (650 track miles)
Not really compatible with stock "rubber" brake lines due to highly aggressive nature of the braking action
$$$$ when taking into cost comparison with HH pad
I would give a 5 star rating but short life and $$ hurt this pad.. I would not run any other pad however.. they are easily the best pad I have tried on the first Generation Busa I have tried (stock, HH and HH Extremes)
If you put this pad on the bike, DO take some time to get aquainted, they are not for beginning or riders with poor brake control. Running this pad on an excessively hard touring tire could also get you into trouble. They become VERY aggressive very quickly and could lead to a front tire lock up if you are not aware of how much bite is left on the front wheel.. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED....
They are easily the best pads for track I have run on this overweight monster for running track days.. Just got to belly up to the fact that they are going to cost a few bucks to run..
