 Decent Armor, Straps Suck

By Anonymous

Pros: It looks cool. The back armor seems tough, the front feels like it's just rubber.

Cons: What I Hate about this vest is that the side straps come loose while riding on freeway. It sucks trying to strap it back on while going 70mph. The Velcro "hook" side looks almost flat and doesn't hold up in the wind.

Sizing Info: Fits 1 size larger

Additional Sizing Notes: I wear a Large and the L/XL fits me a bit loose. If you get it tight, your side straps will come off.

I recommend going with another vest, unless you're using it under a tight jacket.

 Works great under a jacket

By Andrew Davis from Orlando, FL

Pros: The back armor holds up to a punch pretty well, I'd expect a good level of road protection too. It also looks pretty nice which is important if you're intending to wear this in place of a jacket. As far as under-jacket armor goes this holds up well. The chest straps sometimes catch when putting on or removing your jacket but once you're fastened it stays that way.

Cons: I don't think there is enough room for adjustment in the chest straps. I got the Small/Medium size and found it to be too large for me. If I pull the straps past the end of the velcro I can get a tight enough fit but then the straps easily get snagged and pull away. Twice while riding with this vest one of the chest straps has been blown off of it's velcro base by the wind. Once at ~70mph and once at ~35mph so speed doesn't seem to be a factor. If your arms sweat this is great but contrary to what you might think this vest doesn't keep you cool. The chest plate holds in a lot of heat where a mesh jacket would allow wind. The backplate has the same effect as wearing a padded jacket.

Sizing Info: Fits 1 size larger

Additional Sizing Notes: I usually wear a medium but I couldn't get this tight enough on me.

Comments: Just as a note, for me, the bottom of the back armor sometimes gets stuck in my belt or on my tailbag.
