 Great jacket with nice features

By Ted C. from Boulder, CO

Pros: The fabric is cool; it is a close-knit weave with some stretch. The jacket has three zippered pockets, including a breast pocket for a cellphone. It has a simple collar, with no snaps or Velcro to mess with, but of course it offers less warmth in cold weather than a taller collar. I like the included armor; it's comfortable and unobtrusive. The arm and waist adjusters for size are a good feature. The liner creates a good windblock; without the liner, the airflow through the jacket is sufficient for warm weather. Hot weather is probably another matter, though; the jacket does not have any zippered vents to open up. All the materials, including the zippers, seem to be of good quality.

Cons: The Velcro closures at the wrist seem superfluous -- the zippers alone do a fine job. They're kind of fussy to deal with and they bulk up the wrists and make pulling on long gloves a bit of a chore.

Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller

Additional Sizing Notes: This jacket fits about a half size to a full size small. I normally wear a medium or size 42. I ordered a large for this jacket and it fits perfectly in the shoulders, sleeves, waist and overall length.

The jacket liner is styled to be worn separately, but with the elastic at the wrists and the flimsy fit, it's pretty dorky; I wouldn't count on sporting it around town. Removing or replacing the liner is easy but it is a slow process; don't count on a quick change under an overpass when bad weather hits in the middle of a ride.
