Pros: The little bag that could! This thing really packs well, is convenient, looks great, and made my trip allot better.
Cons: The map pocket is very difficult to utilize. I had to trim all my maps with scissors in order to cram them in there. Not very user-friendly, especially since the velcro (ugh!) opening where you insert the maps is not as wide as the map window. In other words, I had to "roll" the maps up on the sides, and work them in--pain in the ass.
I recently went on a road trip (2,000+ miles) on my 919, and this bag really came in handy. I used it to store the following items: tank bag rain cover, Blackberry, toll and bridge receipts, complete rain suit, boot covers, 15' security cable and separate lock, wallet and bike documentation, spare change, maps, couple of 35mm film canisters, Tylenol, and a pack of cigarettes! It worked great at keeping close all the important things a tourer needs in a hurry. The bottom of the bag did not mar or scratch the gas tank's paint, and the magnets are really strong and secure. It's not going anywhere--my bike is naked, so this bag caught the brunt of some high-speed spurts without budging. When it's time to remove, a little tug on the handle picked it up off the tank without much strain. It comes with straps if you want to secure it to the tank, but know that if your're not using the straps, they are stored in between the bottom of the storage compartment and the bag surface that touches the bike, so you'll give up just a minute bit of storage. If you're looking for convenience in a small-sized bag, you'll like this one.
