First Gear Rainier Sport Textile Jacket

Average Customer Rating:   5.0 out of 5 (based on 1 rating)

The Rainier sports a list of features as long as a relaxing vacation and delivers supreme performance in practically any situation. There are plenty of pockets to allow you to carry lots of small or large valuables. The front and rear reflective panels, and a loop to attach a L.E.D. flasher, provide glowing visibility in poor light. An internal pull cord allows you to "lock" the Max Flow intake vents open to provide a cooling airflow. And you’ll love the internal under-helmet rain hood that keeps water from dripping down your back.

 Good all-year riding jacket

By Trevor from Irvine, CA on 11/07/2007

Pros: Plenty of pockets. High visibility. Has plenty of nifty little items that make life easier including a rain hood and air vents.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: Note that if you remove the liner, the jacket will be slightly larger than what you normally wear. I found it to fit perfect with the liner installed.

This is an exceptional jacket. It is a true year round riding jacket that goes from cold to warm easily. During the hottest times in summer the jacket might be too much but I think it will easily work all year. The jacket itself is waterproof/windproof. It has a removable liner that is water/wind proof also. There are air vents in the front and back of the jacket that allow cooling air to flow through. The vents are connected to pull strings inside the jacket that help keep the vents fully open. It is a 3/4 length jacket that has plenty of pockets for storage of items. In fact, there are seven outer pockets and three inner pockets. The main zipper is a dual zipper - you can zip it normally from top to bottom, and once zipped you can also zip it from the bottom to give you some extra room when sitting on the motorcycle. The jacket can attach to First Gear pants by using a zipper on the inside back of the jacket. There is removable CE-approved armor in the elbows and sholders and a back pad is included. There is some reflective parts on the jacket that make you visible at night.
