UF01 Black - Excellent grip - light and easily attached to an '06 R1

Pros: Nice fit. They bolt up to Gilles rearsets easily (no adapter used). Extremely grippy at the edges and on top for cornering.
Cons: Half the peg is machined away probably for weight reasons, so it has to be lined up and rotated perfectly when put on. There is no alignment groove to prevent rotation which would be a bad idea anyway since it isn't symmetrical. My worry is that it may rotate over time due to vibration, causing the machined/non-grippy side to be on top. A few drops of blue locktite should do the job keeping them in place. Since they are only half machined, they probably aren't ideal for stand ups.
I bought a Gilles rearset kit that came with the UF04 instead of these UF01 footpegs even though the documentation specified UF01 pegs inside. The UF04 have flat spots around the ends which are hex-head shaped. The flat spots caused my feet to slip off the pegs, but that isn't the case with the UF01 part. However, the UF04 pegs were not machined in half like this UF01 peg that I'm reviewing.

Pros: Great traction without the aggressive "teeth" found on many replacement pegs that tear up the soles of your expensive riding boots. They look awesome too!
