Goodridge Shadow Sport Bike Brake Line Kits - Suzuki GSXR1000
Average Customer Rating:4.5 out of 5 (based on 1 rating)
New for 2008!.
Cutting-edge product range features Goodridge brand-new E-Cote plated stainless steel fittings and adapters with black PVC-coated stainless braided brake hose.
E-Cote is a new process which electronically lacquers our polished stainless brake fittings, resulting in a brilliant “black chrome” look.
Pros: Fit and finish is excellent, and the fittings really have a "black chrome" finish. I chose this kit over the GR Carboline series because they have stainless steel fittings instead of aluminum. Weight wasn't an issue - durability was. The line is very slim, has a deep onyx color, and is very light and flexible. Extremely simple to install. The directions, although unnecessary, were easy to understand. Goodridge lines are guaranteed forever, so it will easily outlast the bike.
Cons: The biggest draw to this kit was the line is too long, even though I bought the proper kit for my bike (06 Gix 1K). I had to zip-tie the line in two places to ensure it did not contact my rear brake rotor, tire, or wheel. I'm sure it is to give enough slack for the swingarm, but it is excessive enough to be a hazard if it isn't corrected. Perhaps they did this to accomodate those with 240 extensions (which would fit perfectly), but I run stock. Otherwise, I'd have given it a 5.0 rating.
