What would happen if near-weightless metal alloys, carefully woven textile fibers, and thick thermoplastic rubbers were all combined to create light, effective body armor, and then built into an aggressively cut street riding jacket? What if the concept were pushed further still, and the chassis were built combining the industry's most advanced Stretch Ballistic Nylon with the proven durability of Icon leather? These are the questions that drove our designers to create the Accelerant Jacket. The results are inspiring.

Icon of an Icon, Best jacket ever!! |
By Peter from Centennial, Colorado
Pros: Heavy duty armor, Amazing style, nice warm liner, gets lots of attention, very well thought out design, keeping style and safety first. Everyone wishes they had one.
Cons: A little on the heavy side, needs snaps or velcro over the wrist zips so they don't slide open (unzip partially) while riding.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: XXL is just right
Icon has done it again. I think this is the best, most comfortable jacket I have ever owned. I got the black XXL. I have several Astars jackets, from leather to textile but not nearly as comfy as this Icon. I have had jackets from most of the major outfitters over the 20 years I have been riding. Here is the amazing thing. I got this jacket used from a friend, and he crashed in it. The only damage to the jacket was in the textile material under the arm. One very small tear and some of the leather got scuffed. I cleaned it up and put leather cleaner and black shoe polish on it. The jacket now looks almost brand new, like I really paid the $380. I like how the jacket fits snug but expands in the midsection for a perfect fit. The jacket kept me amazingly warm with just a tee shirt underneath in 45 degree weather. My jackets may come and go but this jacket will stay with me as long as I ride. It looks amazing too. I went on a ride with about 20 riders and they all loved the style. the best thing is I can wear it while riding my sportbikes, or my wife's Harley. It looks good on both. I think even for the $380 it is well worth the money considering i have had some of the European (not naming names) brand jackets at twice the price can't compare to the value of this jacket.

    Awesome jacket! |
By Mike from Anchorage, AK
Pros: Very comfortable, fits like a second skin, thick leather and armor feels like it would definitely protect you in a fall, very stylish (my wife gave it a thumbs up, too!), I put it on when I need motivation to get back to work on my GL1000 restoration, lol.
Cons: None, yet. I'm extremely happy with this jacket.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: A large is usually just to right to maybe a little loose on me, but with this jacket a large is almost a little snug across the shoulders -- but definitely a better fit than the x-large. The torso length, however is perfect (I'm 6'0") and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the sleeves were actually long enough for me!

    Kick-ass Jacket |
By Coert from Netherlands
Pros: It looks Kick-Ass. Quality looks great. It feels like a second skin. I took a great risk by buying this jacket over the internet (no return policy overseas) but it is even better than i expected.
Cons: Nobody gives compliments about my bike anymore, everybody talks about the jacket.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: I'm exactly in the middle of a medium- and a large size according to the measurements chart. Medium fits fine (i think this jacket is not ment to be worn oversized)
Comments: I always try and then buy.
This time, buy and then try was a good choise !!!!
