There's no 'i' in team, but there's one in Icon. And one is all you need when you ride for urban glory. Run a team - represent your favorite number - and when the cops ask, deny everything!
- SNELL M2005 and DOT FMVSS 218 approved.
- Fiberglass/Dyneema/Carbon fiber shell.
- Wind tunnel tested and refined.
- Imported.
- Decal Sheet(included)-Decals are great, especially when you can stick them on such a cool helmet. Each new Team Airframe helmet comes with 12 sponsor decals for customizing your side plates. Please don't stick these decals on your cat, your girlfriend, or your forehead.
This helmet has great ventilation and all the crash certifications and comfort you could want. In addition to... all the sweetest graphics you could ask for!

Pros: Vents well, comfortable, nice graphics, washable liner. ALSO** the features doesnt mention this but in the interior of the shell there are to helmet speaker/headphone sized slots that have a piece of pink foam in it. Pull the foam, and there is a perfect slot for speakers. Go Icon! I ride in the wind near the coast and it doesn't get blown around. Somebody used a wind tunnel.
Cons: Slight issue with sizing. I have a small, the cheakpads could be tighter. But my head is shaped odd, so I doubt this is an issue with anyone else. Whistles a bit at high speed, but the limit is 65 right? Wear plugs wuss.
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size larger
Additional Sizing Notes: Runs a little big, but not that much. I only say this because I ride in the wind, and at 80+ it moves a bit with headchecks.
Better build quality than HJC/KBC. Up there with the AC12 and shoei RF1000. I'm picky, and there were no manufacturing issues. No gaps, no flaws. Of course there are more perfect helmets, but they cost twice as much, for not that much.

    Icon AirFrame Team Slayer |
By Jahno from Anytown, USA
Pros: The graphics are great and the fit of the helmet is very good; but the most important things about this helmet are the aerodynamics and ventilation. The lip spoiler on the back of the helmet does a great job of taming the turbulence that causes head-whip in cheaper helmets and the large ventilation ports do a decent job of keeping your head as cool as possible - I'm from the South so "cooling" is a relative term. Also, the items that are included (breath guard, chin curtain, and decals) mean that your only additional purchase for this helmet will be a tinted screen.
Cons: The helmet is a little on the heavy side, but it definitely doesn't feel like a porker. Also, the locking mechanism for the wind screen is a bit difficult to unlock at speed. However, I guess that's the price you pay to keep that wind screen down at ridiculous speeds.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: The size Medium Icon helmet is just slightly looser than a "typical" Medium, but definitely not a full size larger. So, the helmet fits approximately true to size.
Comments: Overall, the helmet is well worth the money consider the design, engineering, and usability of it. The materials used are top-notch, and the helmet just wears like it was designed by riders for... (Read the rest of this review)
