Icon is on a never ending quest to produce real world protection for real world riders. GP boots are great products...for GP. But Icon is about street riding and chances are so are you. The Field Armor boot answers the need for street specific footwear that provides GP level protection with mall walking comfort. All with the ass-kicking style that you've come to expect from Icon. Three buckles, molded plastic armor, custom outsole...everything is there, it just needs your foot.
Injection molded plastic toe, heel, and shin armor
Pros: I have used the boots now for about 500 miles. Initially it was a bit hard to shift (I don't think the toe box is too big...I think the boots are rigid), but as time has gone on it has become much easier. Just seems to take some time to break them in.
They look great. The feel great. Nice protection!
Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Pros: Good comfort for a riding boot, look killer and could probably take more abuse than I could. They have performed well in cooler weather and in rain. Your feet will get a bit wet, but they stay comfortable during the ride.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: Takes a bit to play with the buckles and laces to get them secured comfortably, but they feel great once they are.
Comments: I would have given them a 3 if they didn't have quick entry zippers on the side, but they do... so once you get the buckles set where they fit right; just unzip them to get them off/on. Give them... (Read the rest of this review)

Pros: Good protectection for what they're made for.
Easy on/ off via side zipper.
Good looks
Cons: None really.
They are a little big in the toe box, but not to bad. Just takes a bit to get used to for shifting.

Icon Field Armor Boots

Pros: Great boot, fit is right on size wise. The protection that I feel with these boots is great, plus they match the color of the bike always a plus!
Cons: You will have to make adjustments to the rear-set on the shift lever side as the boots are thicker/chunkier then other lets say (Mall Brands) boots.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Icon Field Armor Boots
By Anonymous from Austin TX on 03/13/2009
Pros: I tried these on and bought them. They're comfortable as a pair of houseshoes, and can be had in a 14!
Cons: Even bulkier than my Aerostitch Combats! I can't get my feet under the shift lever, I can't get my rain pants on over them, and THEY'RE NOT WATERPROOF! I don't need a big clunky pair of houseshoes, I need some RIDING BOOTS.
Comments: I want my money back. These are going on Craigslist RIGHT NOW.
