Icon doesn't cut corners. The Women's Merc jacket is a prime example of this philosophy. Even though this is one of leasxt expensive jackets in the Icon line-up, it performs as well as, or better than most of its higher price competition. The Dynax nylon chassis and CE armor combine to form one tough chiquita. We could have gone with a cheaper nylon or flimsy padding like some of our competitors, but in the end it just isn't worth it. Our jackets are designed to protect you, regardless of the retail price.
Durable dynax nylon chassis.
Ribbed spandex panels for cooling airflow.
Removable CE field armor impact protector elbow.
Removable CE field armor impact protector shoulder.
Pros: definitely my favorite jacket - i'm a tall girl 5'10" so finding jackets that are long enough in the arms and come down far enough on my back is hard - this jacket is awesome and fits great - not bulky like some of the others
Cons: a little low in the neck can definitely let the breeze in - only a con on a cool day otherwise in a month i'll be sooo glad
Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Nice Fit
By Shaun from Columbia, MD
Pros: Light weight and flexiable and naturally stylish. She loves that it has pockets so she doesn't have to sit on her cell phone and the adjustable sited straps makes the jacket contour to her body even more.
Cons: The elbow pads to kind of turn into fore-arm pads from time to time but other than that no real complaints.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: Bought this for my girlfriend who has a tiny waste and 34D breast. She is 5'3" and it fits her perfectly (Small)

Pros: It's pretty nice! I like the inside zippered "stash pocket" to hold things like my wallet and/or phone. Overall, I love it and may buy a white one next year.
Cons: The elbow armor floats around quite a bit. It's not usually at my elbows, it sinks down lower and lower until it's more of a forearm guard... And it has a lot of room at the neck, but somehow it still feels like it chokes me. (That could be all in my head, though.)
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: A little large (wide, not long) in the sleeves for me, but that will be just fine if I'm wearing a hoodie or something underneath when it gets colder.
Comments: The black Merc jacket doesn't come with the white Icon logos as shown in the picture, it's totally and completely black on the front and back. In fact, it's black embroidery on black nylon, and... (Read the rest of this review)

love it

Pros: Love it! Seriously considering getting the white one just for a bit more visibility.
Cons: I dont like it that the elbow pads float all over. I think I might sew them in the right place somehow. The black is completely black, no white stitching like the picture.
Sizing Info: Other
Additional Sizing Notes: It totally fits in a nice curvy way. I have the typical hour glass figure with a little more emphasis on the hips, but from my perspective, its got to be figure flattering for a wide range of shapes. This is my first jacket and totally the best fitting one Ive ever tried on. I like that its a bit longer than others (totally not in favor of the belly button length jackets) and its super comfortable, not as bulky as most Ive seen. I seriously went all over trying to find this jacket in a store before ordering it online just to make sure I had the right size. Negative on the sizing -- the sleeves are a bit big for me, as in roomy rather than long.

Pros: Pros- The Icon Merc jacket is an excellent fit! Perfect for a woman's figure. What I really like about it is that it does not look or feel excessively bulky. It has a more streamlined fit than most women's jackets that I have tried on previously. The jacket is lightweight and is constructed quite nicely.
Cons: Cons - I would have liked it to come with a removable inner liner. Other than that, I have nothing bad to say about this jacket, really!
