Pros: These shoes have a lot of support and give confidence in their protective abilities. I have not crashed yet (hurray!) so I can't yet say how they would perform in a crash, but based on their construction, I'd say they'll do a good job. Nice workmanship. I really like the style of these shoes. They look great and are put together very well.
Cons: I wish the bottoms were flat like a skateboard sneaker. This is my only negative. I have written to icon and asked them to release a new flat bottomed model and they responded (good marks for customer service) and said they will consider it. I find that with grooves or treads on the bottom, my feet catch on the pegs when I move them around. I don't like that. Maybe it's just me, but when I ride with skateboard sneakers on, I'm happier from a confidence in my footing standpoint. Of course, skateboard sneakers are too low to offer any ankle protection, so therein lies my dilemma. That being said, after wearing these shoes for about four months now, I am getting used to where the grooves are and adjusting to them a bit....

Additional Sizing Notes: These were VERY hard to get on the first time. They do not open very wide at the top, so you have to get your foot in just the right position to slide it in, but once they're on... (Hear it in Ace Ventura's voice!) LIKE A GLOVE! True to size, very comfortable, easier to walk around in than some other boots i've tried.
