Pros: These pants are very breathable, great for hot days. The knee armor is right where it should be, and I love the side zip feature. I went down last saturday, and these pants worked perfectly!

Cons: The hip pads are a little bulky, so I removed one pair. There is still one remaining, and it does just fine. I wish there were another set of pockets, such as cargo.

Pros: Terrific quality and very comfortable, even in the hot North Texas weather.

Cons: I'd like for the knee pads to have more latitude for adjustment.

Pros: Excellent airflow. I was skeptical about riding in the summer in black pants, particularly on an aircooled bike, but these are only warm when you're standing still. I'd never ride in shorts, but these must be the next best thing. There's a zipper at the back and I can attach my Joe Rocket jacket to it for excellent coverage.

Cons: The knee and tibia armor hangs a *tad* low, even in the upper pocket, which I'm not thrilled with, but that's about my only gripe. I'm sure that if I had the "short" version of these pants, they'd be too high. I'm not really impressed with the hip armor, but it beats wearing jeans.

Sizing Info: Fits 1 size larger

Additional Sizing Notes: I thought a 34-35 would fit, considering I'm usually about a 35 in jeans. Way too tight. The XL 36-38 is perfect and might have enough room for a pair of thermals or jeans underneath. I'm 5'8 and normally wear a 32" inseam for my riding jeans...these seem a little long, but I feel a 30" inseam for a "short" would be too short, so I'll keep these.

Comments: I picked these after the Fieldsheer Apollo pants weren't available and I'm glad I did. I'd have never fit the 33.5" inseam, which is common to all their pants. If you're a shorter guy like me,... (Read the rest of this review)

Pros: Pants took a little getting used to, but soon I was flying around corners with great comfort and confidence in the safety of these pants. Knee armor hangs a little low when standing, but are right on when knees are bent on the bike. Great hot weather gear!

Pros: Well ventilated available in "short" sizes for the vertically challenged armor is well placed

Cons: zipper broke within a month of use liner/armor can be a bit "abbrasive" on bare skin.
