    Mean Looking Jacket |
By Jay from Westchester, NY on 05/23/2008
Pros: This jacket is bad ass. Its heavy as hell, and at speed as well as in traffic or at a light, lets in TONS of air without the liner, very well ventilated. The armor in the shoulders, and elbows is solid, just like my other Joe Rocket leather jacket (that I use for colder weather). I feel like a tank. Good price for the protection and look, the patches are rubberized and look awesome...I get a lot of compliments from other riders and random people. The mesh material is very tough, and I can tell if I go down, it can handle the pavement.
The jacket with the liner in seriously cuts down on the cold. It *almost* feels like my heavy leather jacket, but slightly cooler. I rode in the pouring rain today, and didn't feel a drop except on my neck where the jacket and helmet leave open.
Blue/White looks great on my R6, it would look awesome on a GSXR also.
Cons: I wear a backpack all the time while I ride, and the putting on, and taking off of the backpack has pulled a few threads on the sleeves mesh, but nothing alarming.
The "back protector" that this (and other brand jackets) come with is crap. I like my spine, so I ordered the AS bionic race shield CE2 (see my review there), took the stock "back protector" out of the Joe Rocket jacket, lit it on fire and danced around it chanting in my back yard.
The front zipper doesn't have any sort of button or velcro by the neck to stop it from flapping around or unzipping... but guess what, it doesn't flap, or unzip. Not so much a con, just a style note.
Lastly, putting the liner back in is annoying. The liner has sleeves, which I like, but lining the two velcro strips up on the sleeves and the inside of the jacket is bothersome. Realistically, though, how much switching do I do? Not a lot... and it takes about 10 seconds to take liner out, 30 to put back in. No big deal.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Great jacket if you fit in it! |
By Ken from Anytown, USA on 11/07/2007
Pros: For the price, this jacket has incredible padding! You do feel very safe in this jacket...despite the mesh shell.
Cons: None. You know you're getting a mesh shell, and that's what you get. The extreme coverage of padding is a pleasant surprise though!
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size larger
Additional Sizing Notes: This jacket is made for shorter, stout people. Not for long arms or torso.
Comments: I had to return my jacket due to it's odd (for me) sizing. I am built like a European (thin, long arms and torso). I'm 5'10" 140 lbs, 31in. waist. Small was too tight and short and Med was adequite... (Read the rest of this review)
