Not the Dark Smoke I'm used to.

By R.B from Oxnard, CA on 02/05/2008

Pros: The dark smoke visor looks very dark from the outside and you can barely see my face though it. It blocks the sunlight sufficiently.

Cons: I have the Arai Dark Smoke, and the KBC VR-2 Dark Smoke, and both are great. However, this product doesn't have the clarity like I'm used to. It's like there's a film of "grime" on the inside. When the light goes through it, it's more of a bluish-green tint. I know that it is doing it's job, but it really bothers me since I have two other visors to compare it to. I've tried cleaning it with dishwashing liquid to take out some of the "grime", but I don't think it was there to begin with.

I think this visor is O.K. and gave it a 4.5. It's fine if it's your first dark smoke visor and you're not annoyed with the bluish-green tint it sometimes gives off.

Pros: I ride home at 4:30 in the afternoon in intense desert heat. This shield was perfect for reducing glare reflected off the street. I'm able to wear my sunglasses under the shield and it's not too dark. With the dark smoke, you may not want to wear the shades with it.

Cons: none
