Still not convinced that Pilot Power is for you? Well, now there's a dual-compound version, a direct descendant of our MotoGP technology. With a softer rubber mix on the shoulders, the new Pilot Power 2CT will satisfy even the most demanding sport riders. Want to carve corners at extreme lean angles? Do you feel like you've found the limit with your current tires? Does your new literbike have more power than your tires can use? If so, then it's time to switch to the new Pilot Power 2CT.
2-Compound Technology divides the tread into different sections, each occupied by a different rubber compound intended to perform a specific function.
On Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires, the center of the tread is capable of withstanding high speeds, sudden acceleration and braking, and other demanding riding conditions. The outer edges of the tread come into use at maximum lean angles. Their rubber compound is 20% softer than the center tread, to provide optimal grip at lower speeds and thus delivering outstanding traction when cornering.

Pros: What a tire! I used to run on power pilot, but now i put the 2cts (front & rear) and they perform just great. They are like glue at hard lean angles, they get warm fast and you get tons of confidence and feedback. I do 60% track days, 40% twisty road ridings cannot be more happy!!!
Cons: none

Off center tire wear-both sides
By greg from upland,ca
Pros: Great rear tire-sticks very good-front tire is the same-but...
Cons: The front tire has very unusual tire wear off center and michelin says this is normal??? Looks like a car tire that has been under inflated. Tire balance is spot on. Anybody else having this condition on their front tire??

Pros: Is the best tire i've put on, amaizing around sharp corners and once they're warmed up you feel like a pro.
The closest thing to slicks!
Cons: For the rear i would suggest the pilot power if you are the type that opens the throttle out a bend.

Pros: Love the triangular profile for handling on long (500+ miles) twisty rides. Less effort, easier on the arms.
Cons: A bit squirrelly in the wet.
Comments: Great tires.

Handles great - good for wet
By 07 gsx-r1000 from Vashon, WA
Pros: Good wet performance, great handling. The dual compound is a nice idea.
Cons: My first rear got punctured after only 3 weeks and had to go through the expense and hassle for new tire twice in one month. ...Not the tires fault though ;)
Comments: I needed something better than the stock tires that would stick well in the rain. I commute year around in Seattle area, and I might as well wear a wet suit. Normal sticky dry weather tires might... (Read the rest of this review)
