Michelin Pilot POWER - High Performance/Sport - Rear Tire
Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (based on 17 ratings)
Michelin Pilot Power tires are the first series of tires to benefit from a rubber compound formula specific to competition tires: C-RAO (Compounds-Racing Optimization). This C-RAO rubber mix gives the Pilot Power incredible grip, and especially quick warm-up time, with no compromise in durability compared to the current Pilot Sport tire. These properties result from a combination of three 100-percent synthetic components, identical to those used in Michelin MotoGP tires.
Features:
- Macro-molecular compounds (MMC).
- High-technology synthetic compounds (HTSC).
- Proprietary, 100-percent synthetic Michelin Racing Synthetic Elastomers (MRSE), which came directly from 2003 Michelin MotoGP tires.

Not so great if you're fast. |

Pros: The time it takes for these to warm up is pretty good, but I would still recommend tire warmers. Grip is good until you get your knee down. Makes for a "comfortable" ride, if you're not relying on them to get you to max lean angle.
Cons: I'll have to agree with those who say there is no feedback from these tires. I rode Pilot Race H2s (medium compound) before the Powers, and I'll never buy another set of Powers again. At max lean angle, any throttle input can easily break them loose (even on a 600), without any warning, even on a fresh set that's warm. The front also seems to push quite a bit at max lean, giving you the feeling of a lowside coming on at any time (I guess that sorta qualifies as feedback though). Definitely not track friendly, if you're anything more than a beginner. On the track, they warm up pretty quickly, but wear rather fast toward the outer portion of the tire. I didn't ride these for their whole life, so I can't comment on how they last overall. If you're fast, these are not for you, bottom line.
