- DUAL COMPOUND, DOUBLE ACTION

- LONGEST LIFE

- BEST WET GRIP

The Best of Both Worlds

Until now, you had to make a choice: the grip of a softer tire - or the durability of a harder tire? But thanks to Michelin 2CT dual-compound technology, the new Pilot Road 2 tire offers both grip and durability in one tire. By integrating a soft rubber compound on the tread shoulders with a wear-resistant compound down the middle, Michelin gives you the best of both worlds. The Pilot Road 2 tire is like two tires in one!

From the track to the road: MotoGP-inspired technology

Michelin originally developed 2CT dual-compound technology for use in racing tires. With more than 350 Grand Prix victories and 26 world championships to its credit, Michelin thrives in the most demanding test lab of all. Every one of Michelin's major technical advances in the past 30 years - semi-slick treads, radial construction, silica rubber, dual compounds and more - was first proven in competition before being applied to road tires. While Michelin has achieved unprecedented success in racing, we have only one essential goal: to build the best tires for riders like you. Because confidence, safety and performance aren't just for world champions.

 Outstanding tires

By David from South Louisiana

Pros: Outstanding upgrade - for my type of riding on the VFR (assertive, appropriately aggressive) from the Pilot Powers b4. Rides like a different and better bike - and the VFR is a benchmark bike, even when compared with the BMW1200's. The tires have a different feel that I like better - ultra stable & straight-ahead feeling, almost like having a gyro on board. Grippy and secure when leaned over. Nearly as good an improvement as my Sargent seat!

Cons: No negatives so far. They will pick-up a nail like any tire.

Highly recommend. I haven't tried them all, but this is a noticeably fine product.

Pros: Great tire for the long distance/highway rider that also hits some curves. I currently have 6,000 miles on my current rear and almost 10,000 on the front on my '07 SV1000S. Have been to both edges of the tires with good grip.

Cons: The extra cost & holeshots or wheelies kill them just like any other tire. Too many wheelies & holeshots ate my first rear in about the same miles as a Pilot Power (4,000) with the same riding style.

Comments: Worth the extra cash if ya can keep control of the right hand. 6,000 miles and still going strong with 2 trips to South Carolina thru Deal's Gap will definately having me buying another set.
