Pros: this press tool works great solid construction
Cons: didn't come with very good directions on how to use it and the press heads keep falling out of the main body but it is a minor detail dont like the fact that it only is a press not a rivet tool
worked great for pushing on the outside chain link but did not have good directions on how to complete the entire job with riveting resorted to a chisel to expand rivet pins prob not best idea compatible rivet pins were sold seperatly but not worth purchasing due to poor steel quality.but press itself worked great and would recomend

A Great Chain PRESS, but only that.

Pros: This is an excellent, easy to use chain press tool. It's compact, and doesnt take up a lot of space in your tool kit unlike the complete Motion Pro chain tool kit. It's well made and I honestly think it'll last a lifetime for me. Pressed the masterlink on in under two minutes.
Cons: The only negative I can think of is you have to buy either a rivet tool or the Motion Pro Replacement rivet tip (which can be used with this chain press tool) to actually press flare the rivet head. You would also need to purchase a chain breaker or one of the Motion Pro replacement chain breaker tips (which I imagine could also be used with this tool) to break your old chain if you dont want to just cut it off for any reason.

Pros: Makes riveting a 530 chain a breeze. Heavy duty design allows you to get enough torque to properly tighten things down. Strategically placed holes flares rivet heads for a nice secure look. This was my first time installing a chain and it was very easy w/ this tool.
Cons: Expensive! Now that I know how to install a chain I probably could have used simple hand tools that I already have to do the same job.
Comments: While pricey I do admit having the right tool for the job makes a difference. Due to the sturdy design and materials used I should never have to get another chain riveter. This thing should... (Read the rest of this review)
