The quick-change rear carrier is designed to enable the rear chain wheel to be changed without removing the rear wheel (this cannot be done with the original one-piece Ducat i chain wheel).
Direct bolt-on replacement carrier is manufactured from 6082 T- 6 aluminum alloy, which is hard anodized to help prevent corrosion and surface damage.
Since aluminum is one third the weight of steel, the unsprung revolving weight which has to be accelerated and braked is substantially reduced.
Must be used in conjunction with the Renthal chain wheel.
