 Marginal at best

By Tim from Central Coast of California

Pros: Install was easy. Unit worked well when brand new at first.

Cons: Marginal useability at highway speeds. If you're wearing ear plugs as many do, listening is not an option at highway speeds or below. Unit plagued with volume control issues and again, spotty VOX activation for intercom. Speaker technology is archaic.

Intercom activation has been spotty, you need to find a short, harsh sounding word to get it to activate prior to conversing. We used "Talk-Talk-Talk" loudly and it would then activate. It's fun at first but then quickly becomes a real PITA. Unit failed right at 1 year. Sent it back to Cardo and received it back in a couple weeks but with no explanantion of repair or replacement. Upon testing, it seemed to work better but we had changed helmets and our riding was minimized due to to circumstances so it saw virtually no use. Now, it's time to use it again and we're plagued with the same volume control issues. Very low volume and it doesnt rise like it's supposed to with the auto-volume control that adjusts for road noise. Contacted Cardo for resolution and the prognosis doesn't look good since it's out of warranty. Their records state they replaced most of the driver's unit components. The CS Representative didn't seemed too concerned with our plight so I'm expecting to eat this one by the time it's over.

 less than happy

By David from Middletown, CT

Pros: the system is easy to install

Cons: My blackjack phone see's the headset as a mono device and works fine as a handsfree but it won't play music with the MP3 player in the phone.

Comments: [KneeDraggers Comments: This unit is not advertised as supporting the bluetooth A2DP specification which would allow for the streaming of music from stereo sources to the headset. You should... (Read the rest of this review)

By Seth from Oceanside, CA

Pros: Sounds pretty good. Can listen to music.

Cons: Wasn't aware that passenger set cannot initiate phone calls. I thought it was just two of the same thing. My wife and I both ride so if she wanted to call me as she leaves work she couldn't because her unit can't. I don't remember reading this anywhere.
