Shark RSR2 Full Face Helmet - Duhamel Black/Orange Matte

Pros: light, quiet, impeccably made, great ventilation, great optic quality visor

Cons: pricey, peripheral vision not great, loop for holding chin strap end is more difficult than a snap. expensive

I purchased this helmet to replace my aging,but still comfortable, Icon Alliance. In comparison to the Icon, this helmet is much lighter with better quality optics in the visor. Visibilty for track is better, as the Icon sits a little low on the brow and helmet can obstruct the view when you're tucked or leaned over a lot. However, there is a loss of peripheral view with the shark in comparison to the Icon and other helmets I have worn (THH,KBC,ZR1). It fit's a little tighter than the above brands (all size small) but if you look at the shark sizing chart you'll the measurements for sizes are not the same as others. Measure your head and use the shark chart, do not assume your a medium shark because your current helmet is medium. The vents are easy to open and close...great for someone who rides in all weather like myself. With other helmets I've tried opening/closing the vents on the fly is nearly impossible and impossible to tell if you've succeeded. The RSR2 gives a distinct click when opening and closing. I don't like the loop for securing the chinstrap end. it's a little dificult to feed the strap end into the loop...a snap would be much easier. Virtually fog free overall very comfortable and worth the $$
