The MultiTec is a significant system helmet redesigned! The flip-up face cover and shell join to form an aerodynamic streamline shape that provides all the protection of a full-face helmet with the convenience of an open face model.
Pros: I love this helmet! I've had it since December 2006. I "test drove" about 5 other Modular helmets before I got the Multitec. It has enough room for my big chin and D rings on the strap, which don't impinge on my Adam's Apple.
Shoei's chart says I should wear a large, but extra large was best for me. For comfort and clear visibility, the Multitec is the best there is!
Cons: I'd like to have a flip down sunvisor, like the Caberg. One small item: They ought to put a lifting edge on the right side of the clear face shield. It is currently on the left, which means that you have to take your hand off the clutch to raise the face shield at a stop light.
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size larger

Looks like a winner
By headmaster from St. Louis, MO
Pros: Fit and finish are superb. I love the ability to use the CX-1V shield, which I can switch back and forth between the RF1000 and this. It's light, visibility is excellent, and it's easy to insert sunglasses (and so those of you who wear glasses would find this easy to use). The only caveat to my review is that I received the helmet on a day that was crappy and it's been wintery and crappy ever since. I can't wait for the opportunity to take this out on a bike and test for myself the ergonimics and noise factors. But I can't imagine I'd be disappointed.
Cons: Can't think of any.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
