The ultra-lightweight, rigid shell structure is a combination of Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus fiber materials & extremely elastic organic fibers. The shell minimizes air turbulence & maximizes air stream with dramatically less drag & lift, thus reducing rider fatigue.
Outlet holes in the Aero Stabilizer & neck outlet vent allow warm air to be exhausted. The lower air intake provides an additional source of air flow that helps diminish shield fogging.
Removable liner & chin strap cover allow for cleaning / replacement. A wide, 3-dimensionally-curved, scratch-resistant, CX-1 V shield offers increased peripheral vision & optical clarity. 100% protection from harmful UV-A & -B rays. Tool less shield removal. Shield easily locks in place to prevent it from opening unexpectedly.
Shoei RF-1000 Full Face Helmet - Cutlass TC-5 - Extra Small
By Canaan Legashau from Austin, TX on 04/04/2008
Pros: Wonderful visual clearance. Excellent noise reduction. Light weight. Superb ventilation. Awsome aerodynamics. Easy, on the fly operation. Plethora of replacement/custom parts available. Beautiful style. Ergonomically pleasing, yet high performance.
Cons: Sill bigger, heavier, and more restrictive than a sky-diving helmet.
This is the best helmet I've ever experienced. I HATE HELMETS. I usually don't wear one at all... But I actually ENJOY wearing this one. My only complaint is that still, even Shoei, the top-of-the-line motorcycle helmet manufacturers cannot match the optics, weight, size, and aerodynamics of po-dunk independent Italian companies who manufacure sky-diving helmets, at a lower retail cost...

Shoei Cutlass TC-5
By The Commish from South Florida on 08/26/2007
Pros: Fits great, awesome ventilation and the graphics are second to none. Some might be put off by the fact that it is black and white but you have to see it to believe it. The padding inside the helmet feels great, no pressure points. The visor mechanism works very smoothly, taking the visor off and moving it up and down is easy. I can't believe how light weight it is. I am still breaking in my bike so I can't go faster than about sixty but I can hardly hear any wind noise. And lets not forget about the ventilation. Open up the three vents up front, crack open the visor just a bit and open the exhaust in the rear and you have air conditioning for the brain bucket.
Thankfully I live in South Florida where every street rider has to have an explosion of color on the their helmet. My helmet will definitely be one of a kind around here.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
